Careers
Build software that outlasts you.
Brincore is a venture studio, which means the work is building companies — not billing hours against someone else's roadmap. We hire rarely and deliberately.
Culture
Leadership here is stewardship.
Culture is the result of thousands of daily decisions that reinforce trust, ownership, learning, and long-term thinking. These are the principles those decisions are measured against.
Create clarity
Ambiguity is a tax paid by everyone downstream. Leaders here are measured on how clear things are, not how busy they look.
Build trust
Debate ideas, respect people, support final decisions. Disagreement is expected; undermining is not.
Coach before directing
The goal is people who can make the call without you, not people who wait for it.
Build systems before adding people
Headcount is not a fix for a broken process. You will not be hired here to paper over one.
Develop future leaders
Leadership is measured by the success of the people you develop and the organization you leave behind.
Protect customer trust
No deadline, demo, or quarter justifies spending it. This one is not negotiable.
Hiring Philosophy
Technical skill matters. Character matters more.
We can teach a framework. We cannot teach someone to care about the person who has to maintain their code in four years. These six are what we actually screen for.
Integrity
You do what you said you would do, and you say so early when you cannot. Trust is the only thing here that cannot be rebuilt quickly.
Curiosity
You want to understand why the system works this way before you argue for a different way.
Craftsmanship
You care what the code looks like after it works. You write the documentation because the feature is not finished without it.
Communication
You can explain a technical decision to an executive and a business constraint to an engineer, without condescending to either.
Ownership
You take responsibility for outcomes, not just for tasks assigned to you.
Judgment
You know which decisions deserve a week and which deserve ten minutes — and you can tell the two apart under pressure.
How We Work
What working here is actually like.
Every item below is a commitment written into the Brincore Canon, not a recruiting slogan.
Decisions are documented
Every major decision is evidence-based, documented, reviewed, and reversible where possible. You will be able to read why the system is the way it is.
Meetings have a point
Every meeting has a purpose, agenda, owner, decisions, and action items — or it does not happen.
Learning is part of the job
Read, learn, teach, experiment, document. Not as a perk with a budget line, but as an expectation of the work.
Architecture before code
Major features begin with an architecture decision record, a data model, an API contract, and a security review.
Recognition for the unglamorous
We celebrate customer impact and innovation — and also documentation and mentorship, which most places quietly ignore.
Long-term by default
We optimize for decades, not quarters. That shapes what we build, who we hire, and what we decline.
On compensation and benefits
We don’t publish compensation bands or benefits summaries here, because we won’t post something we might have to walk back. Both are discussed openly and specifically in the first substantive conversation — before you invest time in an interview process.
Open Roles
No open roles right now.
We build systems before we add people, so there are stretches — like right now — when nothing is posted. We would rather show you an empty page than a speculative listing.
That said, we would rather hear from you early than not at all. If you build the way this page describes, send us something you have made and what you were trying to solve with it — that tells us more than a résumé does.
Introduce YourselfThink you'd fit here?
Show us something you built and tell us what problem it solved. That tells us more than a résumé does.
