The Challenge

The local government job market has a matching problem. On one side: a database of 200,000 candidates — people currently working in local government, open to new opportunities, or actively job hunting. On the other: city and municipal clients with open positions to fill fast.

The founder of CivicTalent had spent years building relationships on both sides of that equation. He had the data. He had the clients. What he needed was a platform that could bring them together intelligently — and give his city clients a self-serve portal to post job requisitions and see AI-matched candidates without a phone call every time.

He had the vision. He needed someone who could build it fast enough to show his clients it was real.

The Approach

After an initial consultation to map out the core requirements — multi-tenancy, candidate matching, job posting, and the admin layer to manage it all — I got to work.

By the end of the weekend, there was a working platform. The proof of concept included a full multi-tenant architecture with three city clients already seeded: City of Austin, City of Seattle, and Portland Metro. Each tenant operates independently with its own job postings and applicant pipeline. An admin dashboard provides a complete platform overview — total tenants, users, jobs, and applicants at a glance.

AI matching sits at the core — surfacing the most relevant candidates for each open role and the most relevant roles for each candidate.

The Result

A working, demonstrable product — built in 48 hours — that the founder could put in front of his city clients immediately. CivicTalent is now actively demoing the platform to municipal clients. Full implementation is underway.

I told Steve what I needed on a Friday. By Sunday he had a working platform I could demo to my city clients. I have never seen anything built that fast — and it actually worked.

What This Tells You About Working With Brincore

Speed matters when you are trying to prove a concept to clients or investors. The difference between showing someone a mockup and showing them a working product is the difference between a maybe and a yes. The full CivicTalent platform will be owned entirely by the client — every line of code, every platform account. That is always the deal.
